As a famous song sings, “how many bends in the Liuyang River?” Yazipu area of Malanshan Video Cultural and Creative Industrial Park lies in the eighth bend, which flows along the downtown area of Furong District after crossing Donghu Street, to Miaopunan at the junction of Dong’an Street and Yuehu Street, Kaifu District. Liuyang River is blocked by the mountain and turns towards Yazipu in the northwest, thus forming the eighth bend. The area is covered with lush vegetation in a good ecological and livable environment.

As a landmark landscape in northern Changsha, Yuehu Park is located in the Golden Eagle Cultural City area, covering an area of 1,003 mu (about 668,667 square meters). And it is adjacent to Golden Eagle Broadcasting System in the east and Changsha University in the north. The park forms a circulation system of living water in the Liuyang River to create a beautiful and elegant lake landscape. The overall plan of the park, with water as its core, focuses on the concepts of novelty, culture and ecology, creating another beautiful view in northern Changsha, and offering a green place for citizens’ leisure.

Another landscape is Changsha University, founded in 1970 and is the only undergraduate college constructed by Changsha Municipal People’s Government. It is known as a garden-style unit in Hunan and the most beautiful campus for its lakes, mountains and beautiful scenery. The university has been promoting its development, and expanding the influence. As of June 2020, the school has offered 44 undergraduate degree programs and there are over 14,020 full-time students.

What’s more, there are Hongshan Bridge and Old Hongshan Temple Bridge. The former crosses Liuyang River and is a super large one on the north section of East Second Ring Road. Beautiful and unique in shape, it is currently the world’s largest harp-type cable-stayed bridge with no back-stay or inclined pylon and the only concrete leaning tower bridge over 100 meters high. As a traditional arch bridge, the latter was built in 1970 and the new one in 2005, forming a unique attraction of the old and new bridge, which reflects the development and changes of Changsha over the past few decades. The old Hongshan Temple Bridge is due for demolition because of serious damage.
