Malanshan Video Cultural and Creative Industrial Park was on the List of National Cultural Industry Demonstration Parks announced by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism on December 8th.

According to the “Notice of the General Office of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism on the Establishment of the Second Batch of National Cultural Industry Demonstration Parks”, after evaluation and review, 13 parks including the 798 Art District were planned to obtain the qualifications for establishing national-level cultural industry demonstration parks, and 5 parks including China Quyang Sculpture Cultural Industrial Park temporarily retained the title of “National Cultural Industry Pilot Park” and will strive for a National Cultural Industry Demonstration Park.

Since its establishment in December 2017, Malanshan Video Cultural and Creative Industrial Park has developed rapidly. As the only national radio and television park in the country, the park has become a gathering place for the video cultural and creative industry with comparative advantages.

According to the development positioning of the park, the park, based on the principle of “government guidance, business entities, and market operations”, aims to benchmark against “Zhongguancun” development model and build China’s largest IP production base, digital copyright trading center, and video creative incubator, with requirements of “centralized layout, industry agglomeration, and land consolidation”, and focus on the development of industries such as digital video, creative design, cultural finance, copyright trading, and information services.

In 2018, 8 of the top 10 online variety shows in the country were produced by the production teams in the Malanshan Video Cultural and Creative Industrial Park. In 2019, the park was successfully selected as one of the third batch of National Culture and Technology Integration Demonstration Bases recognized by the Ministry of Science and Technology and Publicity Department of the CPC.

Today, Malanshan Video Cultural and Creative Industrial Park has gathered 4 companies listed on the main board market and more than 3,000 various cultural and creative enterprises. The park, led by digital video creativity, has become a treasure land favored by internet companies.

“China (Changsha) Malanshan Video Cultural and Creative Industrial Park Industrial Development Plan” was officially released in July this year. According to the plan, the park is expected to reach 100 billion yuan in annual output within five years.
