The first subway train for the Changsha Metro Line 6 arrived in Changsha on September 16. It was delivered smoothly at the Huangli Road Depot on Line 6. This is the first time that the Changsha Metro has introduced a Type-A subway train, which adopts new materials, new technologies and new crafts, and is equipped with an intelligent vehicle operation and maintenance system. With this new-type train, Line 6’s passenger capacity will be increased by more than 20% compared with other existing metro lines in Changsha.

The main color of trains on Line 6 is blue. The train has drum-shaped body in metallic paint, simple and natural appearance, classic blue colors, smiling front face, and beautiful waist line, which appears dynamic and energetic.

Trains on Line 6 are also getting “smarter”. The train is equipped with an intelligent operation and maintenance system, which can monitor the conditions of each subsystem of the train in real time, and realize the functions of online monitoring, fault diagnosis, maintenance guidance, and fault early warning. The train is also equipped with a detecting system to assist in monitoring the changes of overhead lines, tracks and clearances in the tunnel, thus achieving the integration of “intelligent train, intelligent maintenance and intelligent monitoring”. Line 6 is expected to open in 2022.
