The Consulate-general of Laos in Changsha opened on December 23, 2017

It is the first consulate-general set up by foreign government in Hunan since the founding of New China in 1949, covering the consular districts of Hunan, Hubei, Henan, and Guizhou. It will facilitate the communication between the provinces in central China and Laos, and accelerate Hunan’s opening up and development.

The opening of the Consulate-general of Laos in Changsha greatly facilitate Hunan and Laos personnel exchanges, and promote investment, trade, cultural, education, and tourism cooperation between Laos and Hunan, as well as provinces in central China. Hunan will enjoy higher reputation and influence around the world. Beyond that, it assists in protecting the legal rights of Hunan enterprises and people in Laos, and coordinating civil and commercial disputes and consular protection.

Office Time: 9:00 am~12:00 am and 2:00 pm~5:00 pm from Monday to Friday (not including legal festivals and holidays)

How to get there: Take Changsha Subway Line 2 and get off at Yuanjialing Station and get out from the No.1 Exit.

Visa Application Procedures:

Step 1 Submit the relevant materials;

Step 2 Fill in and submit the visa application form;

Step 3 Pay the visa fees;

Step 4 Wait for the approval.

Individual can have the visa handled by himself/herself, or entrust relevant agency to have it been de with.

Processing Time: one to four days

Visa Fees: 130-300 RMB (Based on the length of waiting time for the approval)
