On January 17, Hunan Provincial Government Information Office held a press conference to introduce the achievements of Hunan’s  imports and exports in 2023, the adjustment of tariff policies in 2024, and the services of Changsha Customs for Hunan’s opening-up.

Tan Yanfang, deputy director of the Comprehensive Department of Changsha Customs, said that in 2023, the international logistics in Hunan Province developed rapidly. According to statistics from Changsha Customs, there were a total of 1,173 China-Europe freight train trips, 455 China-Laos, China-Vietnam, and rail-sea intermodal freight train trips, 26 direct sailing trips from Chenglingji of Yueyang, as well as 6,173 supervised inbound and outbound flights made in the province in 2023, an increase of 11.18%, 201.3%, 1,200%, and 305.7% year on year, respectively.
