The “Spanish Carnival Night” symphony concert was held at the Changsha Concert Hall On the evening of March 17, marking the beginning of the 2024 Hunan Music Season.

The concert kicked off with Piano Concerto No. 1, created by Chopin during his time at the Warsaw Conservatory of Music, showcasing his talent and ultimate romantic feelings in piano composition when he was young. Tan Xiaotang, the player of the piano concerto, performed beautifully with a hint of contemplation, sadness, and dreamy colors.

In the second half of the concert, “Ritual Fire Dance” and the first and second suites of “The Three-Cornered Hat” created by Falla were staged, allowing the audience to experience the free and romantic Spanish style. The two suites of “The Three-Cornered Hat”, known as one of the most attractive works of Falla, presents the strong personal characteristics and integrates the techniques of the French impressionist band and the essence of Spanish folk music.

The focused performance of the Changsha Symphony Orchestra with Jing Huan, a professional and capable conductor, conveyed joy and elegance, receiving thunderous applause from the audience.

As a brand concert series of the Changsha Symphony Orchestra, the “Hunan Music Season” has always been popular among fans. Next, the 2024 Hunan Music Season will also feature symphonic concerts of “The Voice of Britain” and “The Voice of Germany and Austria”.
