On November 20, the Hunan Branch of China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology (hereinafter referred to as Hunan Branch) was unveiled in Jinxia Economic Development Zone.

Hunan Branch is the first important practice of China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology to promote regional layout and business operations from a strategic perspective. It will fill the gap in the overall research and development field of Hunan aerospace equipment.

The China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology was established in 1957 and is the oldest and largest launch vehicle development base in China. It is the backbone of the aerospace industry development in China.

It has successfully implemented a series of national major engineering launch missions represented by manned spaceflight, lunar exploration, Mars exploration, and Beidou navigation, making outstanding contributions to achieving the three milestones in China’s aerospace industry.

Since 2018, China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology and Hunan Province have conducted extensive and in-depth cooperation on scientific and technological innovation, industrial cooperation, and joint innovation platform construction. Hunan has become an important carrier area for the academy to promote high-quality development of the aerospace industry in the new era.

In 2022, CASC and the People’s Government of Hunan Province signed an agreement to carry out in-depth cooperation in key areas such as satellite applications, high-end equipment and new materials, new energy and energy-saving industries, and electronic information.

Hunan Branch, focusing on four major business areas in the aerospace industry, including new aircraft, comprehensive equipment support, joint innovation and R&D, and “aerospace plus” industry, will spare no effort to achieve the deep integration of innovation chain, industry chain, capital chain, and talent chain, and build an integrated development ecosystem of the aerospace industry to serve the construction of modern industrial system in Hunan Province.
