Apr 14, 2023 Print

Over the past five years since its establishment, Malanshan Video Cultural and Creative Industrial Park has been growing stronger gradually and gathered more than 3,500 upstream and downstream video cultural and creative firms and over 50,000 talented people in the video industry.

Malanshan, a mountain with an altitude of only 38 meters, is striving to make remarkable achievements in the digital economy industry with the mode of “digital technology plus cultural and creative industry”.

The cultural industry is a sunrise industry. Now, culture and technology are deeply integrated. The cultural industry is developing rapidly, in which the number of employees is also growing.

Major projects stimulate new momentum. Huawei has registered its Hunan’s regional headquarters in Malanshan to build an innovative hub for the global audio and video industry. The vlian.cn 2.0 has been launched in Malanshan, contributing to the whole process of production, protection and trading of digital copyrights, and promoting the leapfrog development of Hunan’s digital economy.

Letian Zhizuo Malanshan Technology, Cultural and Creative Base was capped. China’s largest 8,000-square meter professional studio was put into use, and variety shows on the national leading platforms were widely spread.

At present, the Malanshan Video Industry Cloud Platform, 5G High-tech Video Multi-scene Application Key Laboratory of the National Radio and Television Administration, Malanshan Research Institute of the National Engineering Laboratory for Next Generation Internet Broadband Application, and Tianhe Blockchain Technology Institute have been built in the park.

From 2020 to 2022, the park achieved a total revenue of over 158.5 billion yuan and tax revenue of over 8.8 billion yuan. Investment in fixed assets exceeded 33.3 billion yuan and investment in major projects exceeded 23.2 billion yuan. And there were 2,671 newly settled enterprises.

As of March this year, a total of 2,953 new enterprises have settled in the park, of which culture and technology enterprises account for over 70 percent.

How can Malanshan Video Cultural and Creative Industrial Park keep making new achievements?

Only by adhering to the correct orientation can the cultural industry develop rapidly along the broad road. A manager of Yunmu Future Technology (Hunan) Co., Ltd. in the park introduced that the core values should be strengthened in daily work, and social values should be given full play to achieve a win-win situation among employees, the company and the society.

At the same time, through its own technical products and services, it also improves its ability to promote positive publicity and guidance, so as to help the whole society attach greater importance to ideology and orientation, and contribute to high-quality development.

Content innovation is the core competitiveness. The park has firmly adhered to the people-centered creative orientation and continued to produce more high-quality works that are popular with the people and enhance their spiritual strength. In recent years, the works of enterprises in the park have won over 90 international, national, and provincial awards.

China South Publishing & Media Group and Mango Excellent Media Co., Ltd. were listed among the “Top 30 National Cultural Enterprises”. The Mango TV International APP has been downloaded more than 115 million times, covering over 195 countries and regions worldwide, and has become an important new force for the “culture going abroad”.

Recently, the 4K restored version of the film “Army Commander He Long” released in 1983 reappeared on the screen, thanks to the park’s AIGC coloring technology for black-and-white videos in the film and television industry.

The park has taken innovation as its core driving force, following the trend of digital industrialization and industrial digitization. It has focused on the application of technologies such as 5G, big data, block chain, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, virtual reality, digital twins, and ultra-high definition in various aspects of cultural creation, production, dissemination, and consumption, so as to promote the cross-border integration of multi-dimensional visual arts, and provide strong innovation impetus for the development of cultural undertakings and industries.
