Xinhe Sub-district is located in the Wujialing Core Business Area in northern Changsha City, west of Xiangjiang River, east of Furong North Road, south of North Railway Station and north of the junction of Xiangjiang River and Liuyang River. It covers an area of 4.2 square kilometers and has a permanent population of 38,000. It has nine subordinate communities: Zifeng Community, Beiqiao Xincun Community, Xinhe Road Community, Qifeng Community, Kaifusi Road Community, Xingfuqiao Community, Zhushanyuan Community, Youyi Community and Chenjiahu Community. There are more than 70 large and small enterprises such as Mendale, A Best supermarket, Hunan Tea Factory, Suibao Department Store and Huayue Hotel. Kaifu Temple - the Holy Land of Buddhism, Zifeng Garden, Xinhe Delta - the “Land King of China”, Changsha Planning and Design Museum, Changsha Museum, Changsha Concert Hall and Liuyang River Tunnel are all scattered here. It also enjoys convenient transportation with over 20 buses routes passing by. The Zifeng Primary School is also situated in the sub-district.
