Xiangya Road sub-district is named after the famous Xiangya Hospital with a long history. It is located in the southwest of Kaifu District, Changsha City, adjacent to Qingshuitang Sub-district in the east, Wangluyuan Sub-district and Tongtai Sub-district in the south, Xiangjiang River in the west and the Xinhe Sub-district in the north. In 2006, after the adjustment of the sub-district management system, it was renamed Xiangya Road Sub-district from the previous Beizhan Road Sub-district. Xiangya Road Sub-district has seven offices and 49 staff members under its jurisdiction. The sub-district has jurisdiction over seven community residents committees with 202 resident groups, including Liufangling, Shangmayuanling, Sanjiaotang, Xinxiang Road, Baishantai, Wenchang Tower, Youpu Street.
