Located at the business circle of Songgui Park in Changsha, Wangluyuan Sub-district is contiguous to Furong Road on the east, Huangxing Road on the west, Zhongshan Road on the south and Xiangchun Road on the north, covering an area of 1.2 square kilometers and hosting a population of 50,000. Wangluyuan Sub-district is a demonstration of the harmonious community in Hunan Province and Civilized Pacesetter Unit of Changsha. At present, it has five community residents committees. 

The sub-district was named after the Wanglu Park. The park was an examination hall of Ningxiang County on Jianxiang Middle Road. Due to its higher terrain, people can overlook the Yuelu Mountain from the park, earning its name Wangyue Park. Chairman Mao Zedong stayed shortly between 1926 and 1927.
