The 2021 China Urban Night Economic Development Summit was held in Changsha on September 16.

Urban night economy plays an important role in stimulating consumption and improving the quality of people’s lives. It has become a new engine for the development of national economy, tertiary industries and consumer market. At the summit, more than 30 representatives from cities, enterprises and the professional fields discussed a series of issues like night economy policy, urban night economic development planning, investment and financing, new consumption, brand management and so on.

In 2020, the night economy of Changsha city ranked the third in China. The city was selected as the “Top Ten Attractive Cities for Young People” and “Top Ten Cities for a Better Life in China”. The work on the “Evaluation Guide for Urban Night Economic Development” was also launched, which aims to provide technical support for the development of urban night economy.
